My Odie had a serious episode that left him unable to control his bowels and partially paralyzed his back legs and tail. Because Doctor's office was closed when it happened, I took Odie to another place. They concluded that Odie should be put down. After a few agonizing days taking care of him at home...anguishing over having to put down my best buddy, I called Doc's office when they opened again. Doctor examined Odie and although it wasn't clear what happened he told me that cats can make a comeback from 'episodes' like this and not to give up on him. That bit of information was priceless to me. The previous place had not said anything like that. They kept Odie for several days and Doc checked him every day. I would call or visit and every time Christine and Colleen were extremely supportive. I was given hope as there were signs each day Odie was making progress. To make a long story short it's been a slow progression over weeks but Odie pulled through. It's been months now and you wouldn't know anything had ever happened. I am deeply appreciative that there is a Doctor and staff who are as great as Doctor Upholdt, Christine and Colleen. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs care for their cat (s).
The cruelest, roughest Vet I've ever encountered-very abrupt and rough with my 18 yr old senior fur boy. Certainly his recommendations would bring my boy to a quick grave. Do not bring your kitty here. I can't understand the other reviewers-can't possibly be for the same person-even his assistant was rudely non-compassionate.
We transferred from another veterinary office over thirteen years ago ... During those thirteen years, Doc, Christine and the entire staff at Cats Only have always given us and our seven + cats kind, compassionate and expert care. We cannot express our gratitude enough.
This place is wonderful. The doctor and staff has done such a great job in talking care of our cat. Highly recommend.
I visited the Cats Only Vet for the first time today and was very impressed. The Dr. and staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They treated my cat very well and went above and beyond what was necessary to make sure she got what she needed. I fully intend to make them my regular cat vet whenever my cats are in need!
