This is a friendly place where everyone is welcome. Each service the Priest makes a point of welcoming everyone, and allowing everyone to participate at whatever level or tradition is comfortable for each individual. She typically says that "You can't get it wrong here at Trinity".
A remarkable community of faith has continued in the 1870 prayer house of Trinity Episcopal Church. Dr. Renee allows the ceremony of worship to progress at a meditative pace. She reads the lessons from the Old and New Testament in a manner that opens the verses to study and contemplation. Plus, she's fun. I'm sad I missed the church picnic out at the lake somewhere in this beautiful land of Upstate New York. We had an ice cream social after the service. Perfect for summer and who does ice cream in the fellowship hall anymore? One can feel the depth and commitment in the vestry and the families who have attended for generations. The musical director draws spiritual music from Wagner to Beethoven to Mathias and everyone remains seated for the postlude, which is entirely the choice of Music Director Aaron Sprague.
The spirit of the founding in 1830 meets the current of the present age without disturbing the hour of community and tranquillity.
